Doctoral researcher (m/f)
The Research Group of In Vitro Toxicology and Dermato-Cosmetology (IVTD) at the Department of Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is looking for a motivated doctoral researcher (m/f) to support its experimental research in the context of a recently granted Interdisciplinary Research Program with the two other VUB
Research Groups (WISE and LSTS).
* You will be involved in an innovative interdisciplinary research project focused on the establishment of non-animal based, human relevant strategies to assess repeated dose liver toxicity.
* You will perform (stem) cell cultivation experiments, molecular biology analyses and use computational approaches to gather and maintain toxicity data.
* Your scientific work should result in several manuscripts published in international peer-reviewed journals and a PhD thesis in pharmaceutical sciences.
* You will assist in the organization of practical courses for students in bachelor and master in pharmaceutical sciences.
Profile
* You have a master degree in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, (bio)medical sciences, bioengineering sciences or equivalent.
* You have good computer skills.
* You are a dynamic and flexible person.
* You are able to work independently, yet as a team member, and accurately.
* You have excellent presentation and communication skills both written and oral.
* You have a good knowledge of the English language both written and oral.
