Studying without animal consumption: new SATIS university guide published Featured

In order to provide students with a comprehensive guide as to where in Germany it is possible to study largely without the use of animals, today, the Federal Association of People for Animal Rights has published the SATIS University Guide for studying without the use of animals.

In an extensive inquiry and research, 462 lecturers of 711 courses were asked in addition. The result is a 160-page reference broschure that is not only aimed at students, but also at lecturers. The survey shows which alternatives are used at other universities to avoid the use of live or killed animals in order to do exercises. The comparison with the last survey eleven years ago shows a positive trend: in human and veterinary medicine courses, animal-free teaching methods are increasingly gaining acceptance.
