Munich: Pancreas model developed Featured

Researchers at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) have developed a novel organoid model that can be used to study the growth steps and three-dimensional arrangement of cancer cells of the pancreas.

The research team, led by Prof. Andreas Bausch and Dr. Maximilian Reichert, has succeeded in reproducing the morphology of the tumor with its complex duct-like structures. The model enables them to follow individual growth phases of the pancreatic tumor to enable more targeted treatment of this disease.
