European Bank for Induced pluripotent Stem Cells Launches Second Project Phase Featured

The European stem cell bank EBiSC2 is working to provide long-term a  worldwide access to well-characterized and quality-controlled human induced pluripotent stem cells for disease models and drug development.

EBiSC2 is built on the achievements of the European Bank for hiPS Cells (EBiSC). The project is supported by the Innovative Medicines Initiative 2 (IMI2 JU), a joint venture of the European Union and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA).

Goal of the new project EBiSC2 is to become a self-sustaining central bank for hiPS cell lines which are oriented on the needs of the users.
