The research prize is intended to foster the further development of alternatives to animal testing. According to the official journal, contributions that provide new methodological approaches and/or take up existing approaches, develop them further according to the 3R principle and thus make a contribution to avoiding, reducing or minimizing animal experiments are eligible for the award.

The deadline for applications is October 31, 2023.
