VTU Technology and the research company for the development of immortalized human primary-similar cells, Evercyte, develop together recombinant media additives (growth factors and cytokines) in order to satisfy the increasing demand for inexpensive cell culture additives with a consistently high quality.
As written in the producers' press release, they use the VTU own Pichia pastoris technology platform. Pichia pastoris (Komagataella pastoris) is a yeast which is biotechnologically used as an expression system for the production of pharmaceutical products. The fungus is considered as particularly safe because he has no disease-causing factors such as pyrogens and lysogenic viruses.
The constant product quality (biological activity and stability) is tested by Evercyte using accurate, repeatable, and relevant in-vitro test systems.
