Research support: Reinhart Koselleck projects

The Reinhart Koselleck Projects funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) support particularly innovative and – in a positive sense – high-risk projects, thus providing more scope for development.

The purpose is to enable outstanding researchers with a proven scientific track record to pursue exceptionally innovative or higher-risk projects.

Universities and non-profit/extramural research facilities can apply if they cannot finance their research project, e.g. if funding from other sources is not available. The nature of these preconditions precludes a more precise description of the project.

Funding to the scale of between 500,000 Euro and 1.25 million euros is provided for between two and five years. Researchers who hold or are eligible to hold professorships and who have an outstanding curriculum vitae and great scientific potential which would justify such an investment of trust are eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted at any time, no submission deadlines apply.
