As part of the funding, the use of animal-based materials such as animal-based serums or antibodies in biomedical research is to be increasingly supported. The switch to culture media that do not require fetal calf serum is to be prioritized for support.
In 2024, the Ministry of Food, Rural Areas, and Consumer Protection has 200,000 euros available for this purpose.
Funding applications can be submitted until April 15, 2024.
