Nomination phase for this year’s Lush Prize 2018 runs Featured

Once again, nominations are now possible for the 2018  Lush Prize, a global initiative, animal-free toxicology and research. Awards are available as ususal in the five categories Science, Young Researchers, Training, Public Awareness and Lobbying. The prize is worth £350,000 at total.

A sixth category, known as the 'Black Box' prize, may also award a further £250,000 in any one year for a key breakthrough in human toxicity pathways research.

All prize categories are open to both organisations and individuals in scientific research, industry, academia, public awareness, lobbying and campaigning. All categories, with the exception of the Young Researcher (YR) Awards are given for recent achievements and successes. The YR awards are slightly different, as they are provided on the basis of future research proposals, from early career scientists of up to 35 years of age at time of application. This category of Prize usually sees five candidates receiving £10,000 each.

Winners from all categories are invited to present their work at our annual conference and awards events.

Deadline: The morning of 4 July 2018.
