Horizon 2020: EU simplifies research funding

The online magazine Spiegel Online writes in it´s edition, applicants of the research program Horion 2020 will be informed faster whether their project will be approved or not.

According to the report the European Parliament has decided to refund the research expenditure partly by a flat-rate allowance. In this case evidence would no longer be filed. The new research program "Horizon 2020" will run for 7 years, the budget amount is currently estimated at 70 billion euros.
