EURL ECVAM's survey on in vitro methods for estimating human hepatic metabolic clearance/stability Featured

The European Union Reference Laboratory for Alternatives to Animal Testing (EURL ECVAM) is conducting a survey on in vitro methods for estimating how the liver metabolises chemicals.

It is interested in methods for studying human hepatic metabolic clearance/stability. Hepatic metabolic clearance plays a key role in the transformation and the elimination of chemicals from the human body. Various in vitro methods for human hepatic metabolic clearance/stability have been developed. These methods can contribute to the development of harmonised standards and international test guidelines for toxicokinetic studies. Toxikokinetics information is essential in regulatory safety assessment of chemicals.

The deadline for completing the survey is 30 June 2014.
