According to laboratory animal statistics, in 2024 fish were the 2nd most commonly used animal group in animal testing, accounting for 10 percent of all animals utilized, often in biomedical research. Unlike mice and rats, the number of fish used increased compared to the previous year.
However, the trend is toward the use of cell-based methods, which is why this course aims to familiarize aspiring scientists with working with fish cells. The three-day workshop provides fundamental knowledge and practical skills in the safe and effective handling of fish cells.
