Claus-Michael Lehr honored for decades of commitment to drug research Featured

Every year, the Controlled Release Society (CRS) honors outstanding individuals who have significantly advanced the field of drug release. This year, Prof. Claus-Michael Lehr was honored with the CRS Distinguished Service Award for his many years of commitment to the society and his significant contributions to pharmaceutical science.


Claus-Michael Lehr is professor at Saarland University as well as co-founder and head of the “Biological Barriers and Drug Transport” department at Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS). Among other things, he initiated the “Biological Barriers” conference series, which is organized every two years.
