The Summer School is organized by the EU Joint Research Center together with the EU Reference Laboratory for Alternatives to Animal Testing (EURL ECVAM).
The course covers state-of-the-art technologies such as induced pluripotent stem cells, organ-on-a-chip, computer modeling and artificial intelligence, which are used to replace animal testing when investigating disease mechanisms, developing new therapies or ensuring the safe and sustainable use of chemicals.
The course is intended for master's or doctoral students and young scientists who have graduated no longer than 4 years ago and are working in relevant research and application areas and have a strong interest in animal-free methods.
The number of participants is limited to 120.
The Summer School will take place from May 19 - 23, 2025.
