Berlin Animal Welfare Awards: Proposals welcome Featured

This year, Berlin Animal Welfare Prizes will again be awarded. Berlin's State Animal Welfare Officer Dr. Kathrin Herrmann is asking Berliners for suggestions.


The prizes will be awarded in four categories.

 - Berlin Animal Welfare Prize (5,000 euros)
- Berlin Animal Welfare Youth Award (5,000 euros)
- Honorary prize of the citizen of Berlin animal protection (4,000 euro)
- Berlin prize for animal-free teaching (5,000 euros)

The Berlin Animal Welfare Awards are intended to honor individuals, animal welfare organizations, or campaigns that have made a special contribution to animal welfare and animal-free teaching in Berlin.

The deadline for proposals is May 31, 2023.
