Mainz: Human platelet lysate as a validated substitute for an animal serum for the assessment of chemosensitivity Featured

For the first time, the University Medical Center Mainz awarded a science prize for young scientists for the development of a culture medium for specific human cells on September 1, 2021.  The prize is endowed with 2,500 euros.


This year's prize winner is biologist Miriam Pons, a research associate at the Institute of Toxicology at Mainz University Medical Center. She received the prize for her research on "human platelet lysate as a validated substitute for an animal serum for the assessment of chemosensitivity."
