EU Parliament calls for phase-out of animal experiments Featured

The EU Parliament has called on the EU Commission to draw up an EU-wide action plan for a phase-out of animal experiments.

The European Parliament (EP) has adopted a resolution calling on the EU Commission to draw up an EU-wide action plan to phase out animal testing. This action plan should contain concrete targets, milestones and a clear timetable. At the same time, the development of non-animal methods and technologies should be more strongly promoted and accelerated. To this end, a high-level overarching working group is planned to collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
