After reviewing 130,000 publications on immuno-oncology and searching for innovative and promising non-animal models, the researchers found 542 articles that, according to their criteria, were of the highest importance. The models discussed there were used to study the biological mechanisms responsible for cancer initiation and development, and to develop efficient and safe immunotherapies.
