Bf3R: Register for animal experiments Featured

A new register has been established at the German Centre for the Protection of Laboratory Animals (Bf3R). Scientists can voluntarily register their animal experiments in advance. The register is intended to prevent duplications.

The aim is to make planning an experiment more well thought-out and target-oriented, the results comprehensible wkith an enhanced scientific standard. Animal experiments could be saved, because now "all studies are made public, even those whose results seem inconvenient". The Register for Animal Experiments aims to achieve a high level of preclinical research comparable to clinical studies in humans, for which there is also a register.

Registration is voluntary.
