The prize recognizes outstanding, experimental and innovative scientific work with the goal to replace or reduce animal testing, generally promote animal welfare, improve health or the quality of life of animals and animal-friendly accommodation of experimental animals, pets and farm animals or to support basic research into the to support the improvement of animal welfare.
The prize is endowed with a maximum of 30,000 EURO.
The deadline for applications is 30 September 2018.
