The following work can be awarded
• the results of scientific research related to the development and validation of methods that replace or reduce animal testing;
• the results of which are likely to cause pain, suffering or damage to experimental animals or to improve their posture.

Universities, university hospitals and non-university research institutions located in Germany are eligible to apply as well as individual scientists of these institutions.
