Horizon Europe 2021-27: EU Commission wants to provide around €97.6 billion Featured

The European Commission intends to allocate euros 97.6 billion to the Horizon Europe research programme over the next seven years. This is about 30 percent more than for the current Horizon 2020, but less than lobby organizations had expected.

These had targeted €120 to 160 billion. It is also criticized that the price development has not been sufficiently taken into account. On the basis of today's prices, only €86.6 billion would be available on an adjusted basis.

The complete planning is to be published on 7 June.
