NICEATM: Request for Data and Information on Technologies Used for Identifying Potential Developmental Toxicants Featured

The National Toxicology Program (NTP) Interagency Center for the Evaluation of Alternative Toxicological Methods (NICEATM) is currently requesting available data and information on approaches and/or technologies currently used to identify potential developmental toxicants.

NICEATM fosters the evaluation and promotion of alternative regularory test methods and supports the development, validation and implementation of alternative approaches that can replace, reduce or refine the use of animals used to identify potential developmental toxicants. Testing a chemical's potential to cause developmental toxicity is required by multiple federal agencies for regulatory and other decision contexts, and can use large numbers of animals. Therefore, a replacement is urgently needed.

Submitted information will be used to assess the state of science and to determine technical needs for non-animal methods used to evaluate the potential of chemicals to cause adverse effects in offspring.

Deadline for entries is 15 June 2018.

Data and information should be transmitted electronically to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
