JRC: Study on Education and Training Resources Featured

The JRC has commissioned a study to review available educational and training resources to support the 3Rs approach. The aim of the study is to provide an initial overview of education and training opportunities at school, university and professional level.

Courses, modules, teaching materials, tutorials and other resources should be identified to obtain a snapshot of how, where and to whom the 3R principles and alternative approaches are currently taught, taking into account that many of these initiatives may not be labeled as "3R".

The results achieved are expected to help identify opportunities, promote 3Rs' education and training and target initiatives and investments to accelerate progress. This ambitious global study is being carried out by the JRC's EU Reference Laboratory for Alternatives to Animal Testing (EURL ECVAM) with the support of an external contractor.

The review is expected to be completed during 2019. The information collected will be made available to the public.

If you know of a 3R-related training initiative or resource, please send an e-mail to JRC-F3-ENQUIRIES[at]ec.europa.eu.
