36th Animal Welfare Research Award of the The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture Featured

Applications for the this year´s research award of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) are possible for researchers who work on methods to replace or reduce animal use. Deadline is May the 31st, 2017.

Innovative, ground-breaking scientific work can be awarded which contribute to the development of methods and procedures to replace or reduce animal experiments. According to the principles of the 3R, such methods also can be awarded subordinately which have the goal to improve housing conditions of laboratory animals in order to reduce pain, suffering or harm in experiments (refinement).

Primarily, young researchers are encouraged to apply.

The prize is worth a total of euros 25,000.
