Lecture event at Free University of Berlin Featured

At the Free University of Berlin two lectures will be given on the topic "Latest technologies in biomedical research - for what reason animal experiments are nessessary?".

Prof. Ellen Fritsche from the Leibniz Institute for Environmental Medicine in Düsseldorf will inform the auditory about modeling of the human brain development in the petri dish as a basis for in vitro toxicity tests. Prof. Gary Lewin from the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine will discuss the question whether a development of new painkillers is possible without animal experiments.

The event is part of a lecture series of Forum Animal Protection, focusing on the challenges of animal welfare in medical research. It is co-organized by the Free University of Berlin, the Charité University Medical Department Berlin and the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in the Helmholtz Association (MDC).
