Young Journalist receives Georg von Holtzbrinck Prize 2016 for a report on animal-free methods Featured

In the category "young talent", the two freelance journalists Lydia Klöckner and Adrian Lobe has been honoured with the renowned Georg von Holtzbrinck Prize for science journalism. The prize recognizes outstanding achievements in the field of science journalism.

Lydia Klöckner has written the article "Ersatz gesucht". Here, she makes replacement methods to animal experiments a subject and addresses the difficulties of their recognition.

In the statement the jury praised the thoroughly researched, well-prepared contribution suitable to convince the reader to arouse interest in science subjects.

The prize is awarded annually, in the category newcomers it is 2,500 euros.
