A team of researchers supported by SEURAT with Dr. Paul Jennings from the Department of Physiology and Medical Physics, Medical University of Innsbruck, as well as Dr. Alexander Seiler and Dr. Manfred Watzele from Roche Penzberg (Germany) used the xCELLigence System to investigate the formation of a single-layer renal epithelium and its barrier function by means of continuous impedance measurements in real time.
The xCELLigence system proved to be a sensitive tool for studying the effects of repeated application of agents (toxicological endpoint repeated dose) to the function and survival of epithelial cells.
Both SEURAT and Roche in Penzberg are represented in the InVitroJobs working group list.
