Software Engineer (m/f) for
Laboratory automation in biotechnology & environmental research
We are a globally operating, fast-growing biotechnology company with a young team.
Our automated exposure systems are used for the testing of inhalable substances from the environment. This alternative method to animal testing is growing rapidly and has great market potential. Our systems can be used to test the efficacy of drugs as well as the effects of environmental pollutants.
Our team of globally experienced specialists works interdisciplinary and task-oriented.
Scope of duties:
- Programming of applications in analytics and laboratory automation for the international pharmaceutical industry and environmental research
- Close cooperation with our development engineers in the fields of biology and mechanical engineering
- Commissioning of analysis and exposure systems in the factory and on customer's site
- Technical support for users in the laboratory on site and by remote maintenance
You have a successfully completed degree in computer science or automation technology, a training as an IT specialist or are interested in making a career move into the software industry.
Work experience is an advantage.
Requirements:
- Experience in high-level language programming
- PLC knowledge (Beckhoff twinCAT an advantage)
- Experience in drive and control technology
- Fundamentals of measurement and control technology
- Special knowledge in Java and C#
- Open and friendly attitude
- High commitment and willingness to learn
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
