The EPAA wants to promote the reduction, refinement and replacement of animal use in regulatory testing. The award will be provided to the institution of the successful candidate to allow the extension of an existing post-doctoral contract for a period of up to one-year to promote the transition from innovative and experimental alternative approaches towards their industrial application and regulatory acceptance. Deadline for proposals for the award is September 15th 2010.

"3R Science Award" supports development and regulatory acceptance of 3R-methods Featured
The "European Partnership for Alternative Approaches to Animal Testing (EPAA)" a voluntary collaboration between the European Commission, European trade associations, and companies from 7 industry sectors, wants to accelerate the development, validation and acceptance of alternative approaches. The joint initiative announces an award up to 100.000€ to support the development and regulatory acceptance of 3Rs alternative methods.
