Nobel Prize for research on reprogrammed stem cells Featured

The Nobel prize for medicine goes to the Japanese Shinya Yamanaka and the British John Gurdon. They are honored for their research on stem cells.

The two cell researchers get the award for the re-programming of adult somatic cells into a state where they can develop to all possible types of tissue as embryonic stem cells.
