The Institute of Molecular Medicine and Experimental Immunology (IMMEI) was founded in October 2002 on the medical campus of the Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn. The IMMEI provides a platform for interaction between basic and clinical research with a focus on the regulation of immune responses in tissues. The institute´s location in close vicinity to the departments of surgery and internal medicine allows for efficient interaction with clinicians and supports the integration of IMMEI into the focus `Gastrointestinal and Liver Disease´ already existing at the medical faculty.
The Flow Cytometry Core Facility at the Institute for Molecular Medicine of the University of Bonn is looking for a medical technical assistant , biological technical assistant or biolab assistant. Your responsibilities will include the application of existing and development of new methods to analyse cells in flow cytometry, as well as organisation of the core facility lab, supervision of the users and visiting scientists and support of research projects in the area of cell biology.
The aim of the Flow Cytometry Core Facility is to maintain and to broaden the spectrum of applications in life science as well as to improve the communication among scientists about methods in flow cytometry. We provide scientists access to state of the art flow cytometer and establish or improve protocols for cell analysis and assist them preparing their assays, or help to interpret their data. The Flow Cytometry Core Facility offers you a stimulating and lively work environment.
Your daily work will include cell sorting, training of users, maintenance and quality control of the devices, preparation and holding of workshops, establishment and optimisation of new protocols and staining techniques. |
| Qualifikationen |
Qualications:
Training and certification similar to graduation of a medical technical assistant , biological technical assistant, physical technical assistant or biolab assistant.
You should be well organised and should like to work in a versatile and challenging environment. Teamwork is among your strengths.
Basic knowledge of antibody based techniques, knowledge of methods in cell biology and a good knowledge of cell culture system are desirable. Experience in electronic documentation of laboratory work and scientific results are beneficial.

Salary will be paid according to the TV-L and depends upon the qualifications of the successful candidate.
